Medieval Bloke Sniper 3D - A Flex3/Flash10 Alternativa3D Interactive 3D Game Demo
I just finished up a cool Flex3/Flash 10 3D Game Demo for an upcoming project. It uses the Alternativa3D engine for Flash 10/Flex 3. This game was built from scratch using my newly refined Maya to Flex to Alternativa3D workflow and pipeline.
Yeah, it’s just a cheesy demo showcasing some of the preliminary possibilities that might be incorporated into the real online multiplayer game project. This is by no means finished and frankly is just a quick throw together demo for pre-visualization purposes and for determining the internal costs to the production and development. 3D models for the architecture in the scene were acquired from TurboSquid.com’s free models download. These TurboSquid 3D models only serve the purpose for previz in this demo and obviously won’t be used in the proposed game.
This is also solely built upon the AS3_CORE_Flex framework (the Flex 3 version of the Flash 9 AS3_CORE Flash Template Framework version), with an integration of the Flash 10 Alternativa3D engine and the Greensock Tweening Platform.
The bloke has some good hiding places and if you move around too much, well, you might just fall into infinity as the collision detection is turned off. Enjoy blasting away some of those medieval blokes.
There are some funny screen grabs of the action below. Click here or on any picture to load the 3D game.
