Was browsing through my Maya archives and ran across these 3D Modeling, Animation, and Fluid Dynamics (Ocean FX) Experiments. I created these with Maya Unlimited version 7 a few years ago. Now if I can just find the source files, convert them to Maya Unlimited 2010, and create the wave collisions with the boat along with spray, foam, mist, and shadows… it appears to be quite the difficult task.

The AS3_CORE open source project has moved on to a PureMVC implementation of the framework called AS3_CORE_MVC. The preliminary documentation is located at: http://www.rhaws.com/AS3_CORE_MVC/
Special thanks to Jack Doyle and his Tweening Platform v11 which has been incorporated into the framework. Note that Jack’s documentation includes references to classes that only Club Greensock members at varying levels have access to and these classes are NOT distributed, required, nor released with the base AS3_CORE_MVC framework.
Also, after much consideration and testing various MVC framework implementations, PureMVC was the clear choice. What helped to cement this decision to us PureMVC was that it was originally implemented in the ActionScript 3 language for use with Flex, Flash, and AIR. After much success, it has been ported over to all major development platforms, including PHP, my favorite and most used server sided scripting language.
